You probably know Katie Maloney as the lovable, yet no nonsense server at SUR from the hit Bravo TV series, “Vanderpump Rules”. Every week we let Katie into our homes on one of our favorite guilty pleasure shows, but what you probably don’t know, is that she’s also a beauty and lifestyle expert. Her blog is called Pucker and Pout, and gives tips on everything from how to create the perfect cat eye, to executing a plank. We recently caught up with Katie to discuss all things beauty (and to see if we could get a little dirt from the show).

What made you decide to do Vanderpump rules?
I had already been working at SUR a few years prior to them shooting the pilot, and when we were all asked if we wanted to participate, my coworkers [Kristen, Jax, and Tom] and I decided that we should all do this. We thought our group was already pretty crazy, so it just seemed natural.
With all the drama [on the show] that has been caught on camera, do you have any regrets about doing reality TV?
No. Although sometimes you can’t help but think you’re opening up your life to a lot of ridicule and criticism, but with a little bit of perspective it really doesn’t get to you all that much. I really don’t have regrets, it’s been a great ride.
Can you give us any spoilers as to what we’ll see next season?
We’re still waiting to hear back about a next season, we’re not exactly sure if there will be one. We’re all pretty confident that there will be another one, and we should be finding out soon.
Where are you originally from and how did you end up in Los Angeles?
I was born and raised in Park City, Utah, and I came to L.A. 9 years ago. I had always wanted to come to L.A. to pursue an acting and modeling career; I got the opportunity to move here while running a gifting suite at the Sundance Film Festival. I was offered an assisting job by a friend who happened to be a wardrobe stylist, and immediately accepted. I’ve always been that way, when opportunities present themselves and feel right I go for it.
