Fans will get giggity as Fox Consumer Products, ROOK and PacSun announce the launch of a brand new apparel and accessories collection featuring characters from the iconic television show Family Guy. The collection includes three hip hop graphic t-shirts, each based on one of the adult animated sitcom’s fan-favorite characters – Peter, Stewie and Brian– and aFamily Guy bucket hat. This exciting collaboration will be exclusive to PacSun and is the first time the retailer has carried licensed Family Guy merchandise.
The inspiration behind the ROOK x Family Guy collaboration came from the desire to fuse animation and apparel, adding a twist of Rook’s own pop culture influences to the iconic Family Guy characters. Fans will be treated to a new Stewie as he ditches his baby overalls for a tougher look, the ultimate patriarch “King Peter,” and Brian the cocktailing dog representing Quahog with his “FAMILY LIFE” tattoo. The ROOK x Family Guy collection will be available on September 26 exclusively at select PacSun stores and online at www.pacsun.com. The t-shirts will retail for $27.95 and the bucket hat for $33.95.
“Since we were young, Joe and I have always had a strong connection to animation and have been drawn to the artistic aesthetic of cartoons and the way they create a universe out of illustration,” said Jonathan Garcia, co-owner of Rook.
“Most of our grade school afternoons were spent going to each other’s houses to skate and watch cartoons, and not much has changed as we still gravitate toward animated film and TV, namely our all-time favorite, Family Guy,” added Joe King, co-owner and creative director of Rook.
