Sometimes life’s complexities can push the creativity out of you, literally. Self taught photographer Benjamin Edelstein understands that statement all too well. Specializing in both commercial and fine art photography Benjamin admits that his work is an escape that inspires his vivid scenes of nature’s elements.
The international award winning photographer’s obsession with nature’s undiscovered and diverse elements have further ignited his passion behind the lens. Benjamin’s work has been the catalyst for his own intimate self-discovery and added a whole new type of color to his life. Like many geniuses of their craft, Benjamin refuses to let fear stifle him from being peripatetic when the scene calls for it.
At the age of 17 Benjamin’s explorations began as a mere hobby, but now at age 27 he makes his work a mandate to move across aesthetic boundaries getting lost in the environment. The photography of Benjamin’s art is intended to stimulate all of the viewer’s senses through his use of chiaroscuro found in nature’s details. His art creates a relationship that transcends the audience into an emotional experience that his viewers may not be able to physically participate in through geography, but are able to thoroughly enjoy with his photography.
The distinction of his photography style is what makes his art so significant. Benjamin’s best advice for everyday people pursuing their dreams is to, “Ignore all of the naysayers. There will always be people telling you that you can’t do it, and listing the numerous reasons why you are going to fail. Set your sight on the finish line, and try to maximize every opportunity that you are given.”
