During New York Fashion Week invitations can come out of nowhere and sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. You show up to a show like Iijin and anything can happen. Expertly produced and presented at Pier 59, this show might not have drawn the crowds but it was nonetheless something to see. Runway is never boring, but backstage tells it’s own story, especially at a show like this; at one point Tati from Soul Artist Management was having her nails glued on while having her feet jammed into boots just minutes before the show was set to start.

The make-up scheme was high concept with bright thick smears of color for the girls and tiny dots of color for the guys, all complimenting some of the wildest club and street wear this side of Libertine. Cheeky graphic tees(“I can read”) and hats with shard of mirrors on them shared space with pink backpacks and drop crotch pants.
